Cards and Non-Sports Card Shows
A good source for monster cards
has always been Non-Sports card shows.
Walk around, meet dealers
and collectors and do some buying and some trading.
Unfortunately, there are
very, very few pure "Non-Sports card shows" in the entire
country.
Perhaps the single greatest
reason for the lack of pure Non-Sports card shows is the
relative lack of Non-Sports
cards as produced prior to the early 1970's.
While card companies cranked
out plenty of sports cards during this era, Non-Sports
cards were always produced
in much smaller quantities.
There
just isn't the amount of cards available today to support a larger number
of shows.
The
following is a list of the major U.S. Non-Sports card conventions where
older monster
cards
are bought and sold.
As
you will see, this is an extremely short list.
